Por tanto, queda un reposo para el pueblo de Dios.
Hebreos 12:2
Puestos los ojos en Jesús, el autor y consumador de la fe, el cual por el gozo puesto delante de él sufrió la cruz, menospreciando el oprobio, y se sentó a la diestra del trono de Dios.
La tierra prometida es la gran esperanza del creyente, El creyente marcha a través de este mundo, avanza a la tierra prometida de Dios. ¿Cual es la tierra prometida? ¿Cuál es la esperanza que Dios la ha dado al creyente? La tierra prometida significa por lo menos dos cosas.
- Primero, la tierra prometida significa conquista y reposo. Significa la conquista de todos los enemigos, pruebas, y tentaciones de esta vida. También significa reposo espiritual, aprender a reclinarse en Dios. ser libre de toda la culpabilidad, ansiedad, soledad, vacío, pecado y vergüenza de este mundo. Según lo indicado, la tierra prometida significa conquista y reposo. Significa ser victorioso sobre todos los enemigos de la vida y poseer el reposo espiritual, El reposo de Dios mismo.
- En segundo lugar, la tierra prometida significa el cielo mismo, viviendo por siempre en la presencia eterna Dios, en los cielos nuevos y tierra nueva (2 Pedro 3:10: Apocalipsis 21:1-4: Isaías 65:17: Isaías 66
A través de la vida, el creyente debe permanecer enfocado en la tierra prometida del cielo. Marchar día tras día, manteniendo sus ojos enfocados en la gran esperanza que Dios ha dado. Pero a medida que él marcha, debe conocer un hecho: él no puede marchar solo. Él no vive en un vacío. Él no está solo en esta tierra. Necesita caminar junto con otros creyentes. La movilización es necesaria. Los creyentes deben ser motivados y movilizados mientras caminan juntos a través de esta vida.
La vida esta llena de trampas y de enemigos, los enemigos nos atacarán y destruirán a menos que nos movilicemos, preparándonos para conquistarlos.

There remained therefore a rest to the people of God.
Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
The Promised Land is the great hope of the believer. As the believer marches through this world, he is to be ever pressing on to the promised land of God. What is the Promised Land? What is the great hope God has given to the believer? The Promised Land means at least two things:
- First, the Promised Land means conquest and rest. It means conquering all the enemies, trials, and temptations of this life. It also means spiritual rest, learning to rest in God—to be free from all the guilt and anxiety, loneliness and emptiness, sin and shame of this world. As stated, the Promised Land means conquest and rest. It means being victorious over all the enemies of life and possessing spiritual rest, the rest of God Himself
- Second, the Promised Land means heaven itself, living forever in the eternal presence of God—in the new heavens and earth (2 Peter 3:10-13; Rev. 21:1-4; Isaiah 65:17; Isaiah 66:22).
Throughout life, the believer is to stay focused upon the promised land of heaven. He is to March forth day by day, keeping his eyes focused upon the great hope God has given. But as he marches, he must realize one fact: he cannot march alone. He does not live in a vacuum. He is not alone on the earth. He needs to walk side by side with other believers. Mobilization is needed. Believers must be mobilized as they walk together throughout this life.
Life is filled with pitfalls and enemies, enemies that will attack and destroy us unless we are mobilized, prepared to conquer them.
